Inspector writing on a clipboard beside a commercial kitchen hood system

Compliance

Documentation your inspector can act on

Certified by the state, Wake County and the City of Raleigh, and fully insured. Every Uramac visit leaves behind the written proof that your exhaust system was cleaned to the NFPA 96 standard.

NFPA 96

The standard, and how we exceed it

NFPA 96 governs ventilation control and fire protection of commercial cooking operations: how the system is built, how often it is inspected, and how thoroughly it must be cleaned. Uramac treats it as the minimum. Where the standard requires grease removed from accessible surfaces, we clean to bare metal. Where it requires records, we hand you photographs.

Certification from the state of North Carolina, Wake County and the City of Raleigh means the crew in your kitchen is authorized to be there, and our full insurance means your liability does not travel with them.

Written service report

Scope of work, areas cleaned, areas inaccessible and any deficiencies found, dated and signed by the crew lead.

Before & after photography

Time-stamped images of hood interiors, duct access points and the rooftop fan, sent digitally after every visit.

Hood certification sticker

Affixed to the hood with the service date and next due date, exactly where an inspector expects to find it.

Deficiency checklist

Missing access panels, damaged filters or inaccessible duct runs flagged in writing so nothing is a surprise at inspection.
